Re-see your business as a system for making and keeping promises to the people it serves.
Explain the WHY:
Fully articulate your unique Promise of Value, so the whole team knows why the business works the way it does.
MAP out the likely:
Most of the time, things go as expected. That means you can map out the usual routes through your business
TEACH your team.
Help them (and you) to learn by doing. Give your team the chance to practice on their own by taking increasingly longer breaks.
Learn to SAMPLE:
Instead of watching everything and everyone like a hawk, or worse, handing things over and forgetting about them, build systems for spotting and sharing the unusual. So anyone can respond immediately.
